As some of you may know, I heart Topshop jewellery. Occasionally I'll visit Muse as they have some of the exact same items there but a few pounds cheaper.

However, I walked passed Dorothy Perkins and spotted they had a big sign on the window saying that all their jewellery was 25% off! Now, I'm not a big fan of their jewellery, I'd pop in from time to time for basics like bangles and bracelets. I was actually quite surprised at some of their stuff. They had some some cute necklaces and earrings. I ended up buying these..

I absolutely adore the floral shirt! When I spotted it in Urban Outfitters, I had to have it! But, they only had it in a size medium. And I usually wear XS or S. The shirt looked quite baggy on me so I tied it into a knot just under the bust. :)

Hello hello you gorgeous people. First of all, I do apologise for my recent slacking of posts. It's a mixture of laziness plus I've started getting into running to keep fit!

Now my big brother ran the London Marathon this year. Actually, he has been doing so for the past few years as a professional runner. He completed this years London Marathon in 3 hours and 8 minutes! Which totally inspired me to start getting into running. So today I managed to run around 2 miles! Okay, it may not seem much to some of you but it's a big deal for me because I'm just generally lazy. So yeah, a big achievement for me. Hope I manage to stick to it! :) 

Anyway, the point of this post is that I managed to remain looking chic (and sweaty) whilst running! How I hear you plead? Well, my nails of course!
After seeing a countless number of posts about Boots scrumptious offer on 2 x 500ml Diet Coke bottles and a free Nails Inc polish, I had to jump onto the bandwagon and get me some freebies! Mind you, I don't even drink diet coke, my husband does though, so it's all good!
There was only one shade left which was Milan. shocking really as I thought it was oh so chic (A lot of chics being flung around in this post, he he). After I purchased my item I fled from Boots and into the bus, ran home and locked myself in my room! No, not really. But I couldn't wait to try it. The result after 2 coats?

Messy application. The laziness shines through. And I hatehatehate my hands. Mleh.

It looks like a bright, classic red shade. But in some lights it looks slightly coral-ish. Anyone noticed that too or is it just me? I'm on day 3, and the chipping has begun.
Love the way how a red shade makes you feel all feminine, chic (Yeah, here I go again..) and glamourous. And I personally feel that it flatters most skin tones. Whether it's on the lips, nails or even clothing.

Hello hello!

So a few weeks ago I purchased a Chanel quad off eBay. Now, I'm pretty sure it's not genuine because it's called Nymphea but it doesn't have any of the actual green shades from the Nymphea I know of and the applicator looks different to the ones I've seen before. Although I have noticed that it says Nymphea 06 and it comes with the velvet pouch. Meh. Got it for around £10 so even if it isn't genuine, it's not a total loss.

Anyways, this is what it looks like:

Didn't bother using the sponge applicator. I used the purple shade all over the lid and the dark blue shade on the crease, the pigmentation was rubbish! I wet my brushes with a bit of MAC's fix plus to intensify the colour.

The result?

Sometimes when I wake up, I feel like being really adventurous with my make-up and covering my eyelids with bright, bold colour or wearing a brash, in-yer-face lipstick so that I really stand out from the crowd and think "Yeeeah!". Ok, that last part's probably just me! Yep.

Most of the time though, I prefer to play it a bit safer and use neutrals. Neutrals are safe, they are my go-to shades, they are flesh-toned pinks, caramel browns, they are the staple of any woman's make-up collection, they are our secret weapons for giving the illusion of well-defined big beautiful eyes.

Funnily enough, this post features a palette called "Big Beautiful Eyes" from Benefit. And guess what? It's a neutral palette! Haha, clever.

Oooooh, lap up those neutrals ladies & gents! Needless to say, I didn't bother using those naff brushes. Instead I opted for my little finger to dab on the concealer, MAC 239 shading brush for lid colour, 219 Pencil brush for the crease & 224 to soften the edges.

So yeah..

Drum roll, please. The results are in. And here they are..

Today was such a warm, sunny day. Summer is officially here! So it was time to ditch the cardigan and show some flesh! That's as much as I'm willing to show, haha. :)

I chose a Turquoise (Fave colour of all time!) panel bodycon skirt and paired it with a black vest and a lace cream crop top. And with black leggings, staple for all wardrobes!

Yes! So Topshop make up have finally been launched. I for one have been sooo excited. So on the launch day which was Wednesday this week, I ran over to Topshop straight after work. It was packed out! But mainly with school kids, guhh...

I took a few pictures of the collection, sorry about the poor quality, I took my old camera with me.

So there you have it! The display is really well laid out and the packaging is retro yet with a modern twist. It got me even more excited! I ended up finding myself with a basket and a couple of the items already thrown in. Then I stopped and thought to myself, "Wait a minute, what's the quality like? Am I just buying this 'cause of the packaging. Or is it because it's from Topshop so it must be good?"

So I swatched a few of the eyshadows, they were okay, but thats all they were. Was it worth the £6.00 price tag? Probably not. Although, it would make your dressing table look nice. :)

They also had a sheer foundation called "Skin Tint". There were only 4 shades to choose from: fair, light, medium & dark. I reeeeally wanted to buy one of these as summers coming up and I like light coverage at this time of the year. But unfortunately they were all too light for me, and dark was just WAY too dark, gaah!

I quite liked the look of the creamy blushers, they really caught the eye. Too many people were hovering around them though, so I'll try them out in the near future.

So after all the commotion, I only ended up buying a lipstick, nail polish & a lip polish.

Pretttyyyy! This is in shade "Desert" and it's a... wait for it... NUDE! :D

This nail polish is in shade "Parma Violets" and funnily enough, it actually looks exactly like the colour of those sweets Parma Violets!

This is the lip polish and it's in shade "Smoothie". A gorgeous pink!

I'll probably be doing a FOTD and a NOTD with these soon. So stay tuned, folks!

As some of you may know, I'm a compulsive obsessive over jewellery. Topshop is by far the best place I've come across for jewellery. Although the other day I came across a jewellery sale from Asos. So I quickly found myself adding items into my electronic basket, eeeep! Goodbye money!
Here are the pieces I purchased... 


I ADORE necklaces like this. I love how detailed it is. At first I thought I could unscrew the lid but unfortunately, it's firmly welded together. Nonetheless, still a beautiful piece of jewellery! 


I love how vintage this ring looks. A word on Asos ring sizes, always buy a size up. My usual size is small, but this one felt like an extra small, so I could only fit this on my ring finger.

Sigh.. Seriously, how gorgeous is this charm? After buying this, I've made it my mission to buy as many cute charms as possible to put onto a bracelet!

Another nail colour I have been sporting lately is "Call Your Mother" By Sephora OPI. This is quite similar to "Metro Chic" and I HATED "Metro Chic", it was faar too dirty looking for my liking. "Call Your Mother" on the other hand is less dirty looking and has a more of purple tone to it which gets my approval. Also, lovelovelove the smooth creamy consistency! Which of course makes the application easy peasy.

So which one do you prefer, "Metro Chic", "Call Your Mother"? Or both?

Designer Spray. 

Without you, I'd be lost. I dedicated my blog to your name. You made me wave goodbye to flat, boring hair. You made me shout out HELLO to big, messy hair.

Okay, we should really get a room... But seriously, Designer Spray is probably the only hair product I cannot live without. So what exactly is Designer Spray I hear you say?!

It's a finishing hairspray and shaping product from Wella High Hair. Which is a salon brand. I discovered this product when I was a little nipper at 19, back in the days when I was doing my NVQ Hairdressing. I've never looked back since. :)

Yes, I've tried countless number of finishing/shaping products like matt pastes, waxes, different hairsprays, but they just weren't good enough. They either made my hair look greasy or greasy-ish, didn't hold up well during the day, didn't volumise enough or just not textured enough. The only thing that came close was Label M's Resurrection Dust. Good stuff. Comes in a dinky little bottle, so quite handy to carry around in my handbag!

DS comes out in a mist, but not as fine as L'oreal's Elnett's hairspray. This works to my advantage as Elnett dries as soon as it touches the hair (unless you spray too much!), whilst DS leaves the hair slightly damp so you can play about with you hair, once you're happy with the way it look, you leave it to set for a minute and you're done! And as it's a firm holding spray, your hair style will last most of the day.

For me, the best way to use it is to spray in sections like below.

Then I give it a my hair good shake and shape individual strands..

Et Voila! Done :)

I've not come across any reviews of this product on the web, which leaves me wondering, has no one come across this in salons? Have any of you used Wella High Hair products?
