Saris.. What a pain in the rear end.
Saturday, May 19, 2012Saris!
I heart them. So elegant. Ultra feminine. You feel like a million dollars (or pounds.. Doesn't have the same ring to though, does it?) wearing them.
The first time I wore one was for Eid. My brother had to put the thing on me, and that says a lot. One is hopeless.
The last time I wore one was for a friend's wedding in Nepal. I tried to put it on by myself, but I had to seek help from the groom's mother.
Youtube videos are whack.
This is where you guys come in. I NEED HELP.
I have a wedding coming up in the next few weeks which bore me to tears but meh.. How the hell do I put one on?

ReplyDeleteThanks, Shabna! Youtube is a bit blah, no help at all! x
DeleteYou look so pretty! I have exactly the same opinion as you on saris, love to wear them but hate shopping for them and cant put one on without my mum or aunties! x
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you pretty lady! Yeah, it's rubbish isn't it. I've got 4 more Saris, heavily embellished. Shame I'm hopeless at wearing them. x

lol im just as hopeless but wowza u look hawwwwt!
ReplyDeleteOh mannn, wish I could show you how..it's very easy! Have you thought about maybe getting the pleats sewn in, so the most you'd have to do is clip it at the waist and drape the pallu? My Mum does it for alot of Pakistani women around wedding season!
ReplyDeleteLima you beauty!! Your sari looks like it was made for you :) I have no idea how to put one on but I wish you luck. I wore one to a wedding a couple of years back and it started to fall down before I got there. Ran from the taxi straight to the toilets to try and pin it back! :3 xxx
ReplyDeleteDamn girl, you is fine ;) That sari look absolutely divine on you my lovely! Oooooh I want one so bad but worry I'll embarrass myself in the worst way & flash everyone...lets face it, if it could happen to anyone it would happen to me! :-/
