Hello m'dears! 

Not so long ago, I made the classic makeup addict error. I was seduced by the variety of colours on offer in a particular range, and of course decided to buy the whole lot, more than I could ever want or need. At the time, this thought wasn't on my mind at all though, my mind was more like a moth to a flame: "They're so pretty!" And that was that. Bought.

 

 

Can you believe, this is the first Outfit of the Day for 2016? Of course, as soon as I saw the snow falling last night I had this vision of posing in the snow, so for the first time in my life I found myself wishing that the blasted snow would actually settle! Not only did it settle, it actually continue snowing long in to the Sunday, so you may actually see the blur of a few flakes in the photos!

Hello ladies & gentlemen! Yes that's right, I'm knocking out a sixth post in a month! I know what you're thinking: "What have we done to deserve being blessed with your presence so often?" But don't worry my little stalkers, I happen to believe that you always deserve to blessed with my presence! But all jokes aside, here I am again, this time I'm showing you a new look I created this week and I'm going to tell you how to do it! It's called Negative Space, or, Cut Out Eyeliner.

I believe that Negative Space Nails were 'on trend' maybe a year or so ago, and I remember spotting it cropping up all over the internet through blogs, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram etc. It's something that I must admit, infuriated me no end. And it wasn't anything to do with how it looked or how often I kept seeing it on my iPhone, or how many times I heard people say it's the best thing since sliced bread, oh no. See the problem for me was that I actually gave it a try, and failed at it oh so hard.

Can you believe that this will be my fifth post this month? And we're only 12 days into it! Definitely a case of start as you mean to carry on for me as far as 2016 goes. As much as I can't stand the idea of making New Year's Resolutions, I have to admit that I really do want to focus a bit more on the blog this year. Although 2015 was a big improvement on 2014, I feel like there's an awful lot more left in me yet. So hopefully you'll be seeing plenty of me this year, and even more importantly, hopefully I'll be seeing plenty of you this year too.

Anyway, on to this post. This one's about some rings that I bought recently, and I think I might need your help. You know when you're at an independent retailer, where things aren't quite labelled as well as they might be in a chain store, you see something so f**king pretty that you just have to buy it there and then? Well, yeah, this happens to me a lot and at times it can be frustrating, because afterwards, when I want to tell people about it, I have to go away and do some research to find out what the thing I've bought is actually called.

 

It has been far, far too long since I last put up a hair post, but what better way to kick off the new year than with a new do? Totally coincidental though, yeah? 

My hair has been mostly lilac for over a year now, with a month or two of grey thrown in too. Along the way I've added in various colours just to mix it up a bit, such as blue, purple, mint and even peach. Eventually though, I always go back to pure lilac. So now, it's time for a change!

 

 If there's one thing you can count on in terms of my daily routine, it's that my skin will be well cared for. That's everyday, come rain or shine. Whether I'm feeling fine or stuck in bed. If I'm going to work or having a well-earned rest day. In every scenario, I ensure that my skin, particularly on the face, is looked after. The mantra I've bought in to since I was a teenager is "Prevention is better than cure."

We all have our very own bucket list - things that we simply must do before we die. The Northern Lights has been on mine since I was a kid, it's always fascinated me how these mysterious, magical, dancing lights come to be. I've seen countless photographs, videos and documentaries and read about the experiences of others who've had the privilege of seeing them. All of this only added to my desire to see them with my own eyes.

But I've always found that wanting to do something is completely different to actually going ahead and doing it. There are so many people I know who say how much they'd love to go and see the Northern Lights, but never actually get around to actually going. So I thought to myself: "I am NOT going to be one of those people."

I know what you're thinking. Crazy Cat Lady Alert! And who am I to disagree? I love my little four-legged furbabies, and I'm not ashamed to say so! I'm also a fan of phone cases that take you way outside the norm. I've had all manner of cases in the past, the last one I posted up on Instagram generated a little bit of a stir with it's middle fingers (paws?!) stuck up.
