For the longest time, I’ve had to endure the pain and misery of mascara transfer under my eyes and onto my eyelids. I have naturally long lashes, and I’ve tried it all to prevent it from happening. I’ve tried waterproof mascara, powdering under my eyes, even powdering the lashes themselves, but nope. It was all too much effort, for no results.

I was close to giving up, resigning myself to a life of mascara smudges and transfer making me look like a panda and ruining my looks. But then I stumbled across something that’s completely changed all of that. It’s no exaggeration to say it’s life-changing, and it’s so bloody simple too.

I decided to test this out whilst I was in the heat of Malaysia and Singapore and can confirm that it worked! The above photo is of me at closing time at the top of KL Tower, at the end of a long, hot, humid day in Malaysia, where I had my makeup on for over 14 hours, and there’s zero mascara smudging.

So how did I stop the transfer of mascara?

It’s so simple that this post will be ridiculously short. Tubing Mascara. That’s right, it was all down to the mascara I was using. Tubing mascara is formulated to wrap each lash in it’s own tiny little tube, and it washes off easily with water as well. Where has this been all my life?!

Which tubing mascara is the best?

There are quite a few different brands out there with Tubing mascaras, and whilst I haven’t tried all of them, I’ve had a go at a couple. So far, my favourite is the ELF Lash XTNDR.

It coats every single lash and gives a lengthening and lifting effect. I’ve found that ELF’s Lash XTNDR doesn’t flake off, and I get absolute zero mascara smudging using this mascara.

How much does ELF Lash XTNDR tubing mascara cost?

It costs just £8 and I got mine from ELF’s official store on Amazon HERE.
